Originally from Kalamazoo Michigan, after a decade and a half in Saigon Vietnam, Daniel Spero
now resides in Pilot Virginia. Daniel has written five novels about protagonist Julian Jakos,
each a semi-autobiographical retrospective wringing out absurdity in some of life's grittier
adventures. His sixth and seventh books are the pictorial autobiographies A Life in Concert
& A Life in Saigon, while his eighth work Wait for Juan is a zany collection of sci-fi
& fantasy short stories. His latest offerings include an assemblage of stories about
demise in The Dead Beats & an audiobook, The Groggy Wink-Hole, which skewers
wokism with satirical social commentary. Daniel has ten film scripts & two pilots
to his credit, including writing the first season of the dark, dramatic series, Expat.
He's also a drummer of groove-jazz music as well as an occasional stage performer.
